Terms & Conditions
The eligibility criteria for the educators/teachers and students to become members of EdGurus and grounds for their suspension:
- Member must be minimum legal age in his/her country to use an online education platform.
- Members are advised not to post any illegal content or material. It should be the original work having no copyright issue. Posts containing illegal contents or copyrighted materials will be deleted.
- The members will be allowed to post their views, comments, messages etc. in relevant sub-forums only. The material posted in the wrong topic/area will be removed and placed in the appropriate sub-forum by the moderators/admin.
- Members are prohibited from posting any spam material on EdGurus site. All automated messages, advertisements and links to external websites if any, posted by the members, will be deleted immediately.
- The members are expected to maintain decorum and use parliamentary language while dealing with fellow members and other users. Members found using offensive or un-parliamentary & defamatory language, offering objectionable comments, views or posting inflammatory or abusive material for or against EdGurus or its’ members will disentitle them to remain its’ members and they may lose their membership immediately and appropriate action may be taken against them.
- No threats or harassment of any level to fellow members/users will be allowed/ tolerated. Any instance of threatening or harassing or of untoward behaviour with or against fellow members is the ground for suspension of membership of the offender.
- EdGurus’ member educators/teachers provide educational services to EdGurus’ member students free of cost. Any incidence of seeking money directly or indirectly for providing/imparting educational services from its students will result in the suspension of the membership of the violator from the site. Any incidence of inducing member students for seeking private tutorials will result in the ban of the member teacher from the site.
- EdGurus is the pious platform for imparting and offering education to the underprivileged or other students of the society free of cost. It’s a service to the society and in turn to the nation. So, no adult and objectionable material/contents in the form of pictures, videos or pornography is expected and/or allowed to be posted on its portal. It is strictly prohibited. In addition to losing his membership, the offender will be handed over to the police for taking appropriate legal action under law of the land.
- Members are suggested and advised not to share their personal information with fellow members. EdGurus does not share personal information like postal address, phone number, e-mail address etc. of its’ members with other EdGurus members. In the case of violation of this rule, EdGurus does not take any responsibility for its adverse consequences.
- Educators/teachers are advised only to use ‘EdGurus Class Meeting link’, having provided by EdGurus, for conducting its classes for the students members. Any post containing personal meeting link will be deleted.
- Members are informed that all EdGurus class meetings are automatically recorded. EdGurus is the sole owner of these class meeting recordings and will use it for members’ online education and its safety.
- The admission and or suspension of a member from EdGurus is the sole discretion of its Admin which is final and is not challengeable.
